Privacy

This site has no accounts, no ads and no forms that send data anywhere.

The ghost towns near me page asks your browser for your location only after you press the button. The distance math runs in your browser and your position is never sent to us.

The live map loads only when you press its button. Your browser then fetches the MapLibre library from cdnjs (Cloudflare) and map tiles from OpenFreeMap. Those services see your IP address, as any website you visit does.

We count visits with a small first-party analytics script that does not set cookies. It stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage so repeat visits are not counted twice. We do not sell or share it.

Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, page, time) for a short period for security.
